FAQ

Questions before the check

The questions that come up before the check, answered in one place.

What is a corridor?

+

A direction, a target market and a field, agreed with you in writing before work starts. Not a country, and not a region — a specific route, plus the field you sell in. Corridors →

You say you “sell a judgement, not a promise.” What does that mean?

+

We tell you, in writing, whether something will work — including when the answer is no. We do not promise you access, a meeting or an outcome, because none of those are ours to promise. What we put our name behind is the judgement itself.

Do you only work on Iraq?

+

No. Three directions: into Iraq, into Europe for Iraqi companies, and Germany ↔ Poland. What determines the work is the direction you are travelling and the field you are in, not where your company is registered.

What if my company is not from Germany, Poland or Iraq?

+

That does not change which corridor you are in. A Korean, Indian or American company looking at Baghdad faces close to the same wall as a German one does — what determines the work is where you are going and what you sell, not where you are registered. Corridors →

What do I actually get from the Deal-Breaker Check?

+

One page. Five blocks — regulatory access, procurement reality, localization, competitive position, and a three-sentence verdict. It names what would make your case fail. It does not resolve it.

Why do I need to sign an NDA for something that is free?

+

Because writing an honest page requires real information from you — what you sell, where you have already been turned down, what you would not put in an email. The NDA is two pages, mutual, and binds us as much as it binds you.

How long does this take?

+

The NDA goes out once we have agreed, in the first conversation, that the check is the right next step. Once it comes back signed, the check itself takes five working days.

What happens after the check?

+

If the answer is worth pursuing, the next step is a paid, defined review — fixed fee, fixed scope, no negotiation on either. That is where sources get checked properly and a position gets built that you can put in front of a board. The check does not do that work. It tells you whether the work is worth doing. How we work →

Is this legal, tax or investment advice?

+

No. It is a commercial opinion, based on public sources and on what we have seen in these markets. For anything that needs to hold up in a filing or a contract, you need a lawyer or a tax advisor, not us.

Will you introduce me to specific people or institutions?

+

We will tell you whether a decision of this kind is even taken the way you assume, and whether we have relevant standing at all. We do not name people, ministries or institutions in advance, and we do not promise meetings.

Will you use my company as a reference?

+

Not without asking, in writing, at the end of the project — and we accept no as an answer. Nothing about your engagement appears on this site.

What does this cost, after the free check?

+

There is no price list here, because the number depends on scope, and scope depends on your case. Assessment work is a fixed fee. Matchmaking carries an engagement fee plus a success-based component. Ongoing program work is a monthly retainer. On-site presence is a day rate. The model comes with the free check. The number comes in a proposal. What we do →

Who actually writes the judgement?

+

Dr. Mohammed Al-Fakhri, by name — not a team, not a template. He signs it because he wrote it. About →

STILL DECIDING?

That is what the thirty minutes are for

You bring the case. We tell you whether and how we can help — in German, Polish, Arabic or English.
